Explanation about Mahamudra:

The Masada lodge:

Is located on the southern foothills of the Masada mountain, overlooking the dead Dead Sea and a “Havarim” view. The Masada lodge is only 10 minutes away from "Ein Bokek", a beautiful beach and resort area, on the shores of the Dead Sea (The same beach we visited with Lama Ole during his 2007 lecture tour).
The course will begin on Saturday, 20/12/2008 at 20:00.
We will all arrive at the lodge by organized buses, arriving within an hour's time difference from each other, in order to facilitate a smooth registration process.

Comments:

1. Only one of each couple should register their children. This should be noted in the space provided for comments in the registration form.
2. If a number of people register for the same room, it is possible to note in the comments space the names of the other room-mates and their registration numbers.

•  .It's possible to participate at one lecture for 70 nis
  The price is not including meals and accommodation.

* If no meals has chosen at the registration form, you can buy a vouchers for single or more meals on the course. The price: 1 voucher = 10 €
**  It is not obligatory to order places on the bus. If you did not, and find that have no possibility for independent arrival and need to use the bus service, please contact mahamudra2008@buddhism.org.il Places will be provided on a free-space basis.
  *** For children between the ages of 5-12 course is free of charge.

Due to the economic world crisis and the drop in the value of the Euro, we wish to secure that you won’t have to pay more than originally planned and therefore ask you to pay for the Mahamudra course in Israeli Shekels, by bank transfer. Please transfer the amount of Shekels originally stated on your registration form. We can't reserve  your bed without your payment.

The package includes:

Course participation, 3 nights + breakfasts (included in the lodging fee). You may also choose to purchase lunches and/or dinners.
Recommended to bring: meditation cushions, insect repellent, sunscreen, and bathing suits.

Whoever has in his possession the “Great Seal” booklet is requested to bring it to the course; whoever doesn’t – please purchase it at your center in your language. Booklets in English will be for sale at Dharma shop at the course.

* No need to bring sheets. If you choose to sleep on mattresses in a room, please bring sleeping bags.

Last date for low-priced registration (through the internet): December 1st, 2008. For those registering after this date, prices will be 50 euro higher.

At the 15th of December, the possibility to register online will be closed.
At the day of the course – cash payments only.

Organized transportation to the course: Saturday (20/12/2008)
As the Masada Lodge is quite remote, and in Israel public transportation does not operate on Saturdays, the course organizers have arranged for direct buses to the course's location. Registrations must be made as part of the general course registration process.

Ordering places in advance is essential!

Bus number 1:
Tel-Aviv: Boarding from Arlozorov train station at 10:30, and departure at 11:00 sharp.
Arrival and boarding at Jerusalem – st. King Goerge corner st. Ben Yehuda at 12:10, and departure at 12:30 sharp.
Arrival at the Masada Lodge.

Minibus number 2:
Tel-Aviv: Boarding from Arlozorov station at 12:00, and departure at 12:30 sharp.
Arrival at the Masada Lodge.

Bus number 3:
Haifa: Boarding at Hadar – Ron theater at 11:45, and departure at 12:15 sharp.  
Arrival and boarding at Tel-Aviv, Arolozorov train station at 13:30, departure at 14:00 sharp.
Arrival at the Masada Lodge.

Please arrive on time!

During the course you will have the opportunity to sign up for organized return buses to Tel-Aviv, Haifa, and Jerusalem. Payment for them will be made at the time of reservation. For details, please inquire at the information stand during the course.
Whoever will be interested to return individually to one of these cities, will be able to look up the "Eged" bus company's time lists, which will be posted on the message board.

For those interested to travel independently to the "Ein Bokek" beach and resort, public transportation exists:
Eged buses:
From Jerusalem to Eilat (and back) – 444, 486. Time charts will be posted on the message board.
From Tel-Aviv to Neve Zohar (and back) – 421. Time charts will be posted on the message board.
